I had met Sarah before she asked me to do her wedding photos, and I knew she was a shining light as soon as I made eye contact with her. Sarah and Sean hired me for their wedding and when I met Sean during their engagement photos I felt so humbled to be in the presense of such love and admiration. These two were destined to meet.
In the morning I met with Sean and a few of his groomsmen. Look at these amazing ties a good friend of theirs (and a school mate of mine!) painted. More of her work can be found here.
Would you believe Sarah did the beading on Sean’s vest. I was surrounded by amazing talent!
I joined Sarah and some of her bridesmaids while they got ready.
How gorgeous is their little girl. Sarah was still busy beading away on her son’s vests.
Sarah’s beauty is the kind that radiates through her. Her outside completely matches her humble, kind, loving inside.
How amazing was her dress!!!?
Such sweet, lovely children.
Onto the ceremony at the Kwanlin Dun Cultural Center in Whitehorse.
Such a beautiful ceremony. I was so grateful to watch these two sould commit to each other. Had a hard time keeping my cheeks dry though.
Onto the formals!!! I just love this one of their children.
Such a lovely family.
We had fun doing the wedding party formals at one of my favorite locations in Whtiehorse.
I love the next few of Sarah and Sean, you can really feel their energy for each other.
Onto the reception, again at the Kwanlin Dun Cultural Center. They used all Yukon wild flowers for their decorations, it really was gorgeous.
How amazing is this cake?!!?
The food was unreal. Salmon chowder and bannock. It was so authentic and delicious. The caterer does not have a website or social media site, but I can give you her direct contact if you are interested. She does an amazing job!
Sarah and her Father. Such respect and love.
The first dance!!!
Sarah worked very hard to surprise Sean with these gloves which she made herself. She gifted them to Sean and tradition says she must dance for her as she sings - it was really such a beautiful exchange…..and look at those gloves!!! You can see how much work and love Sarah poured into them.
Then everyone joined in the dancing!!! They even had traditional First Nations dancers come in!!!!
Thank you Sarah and Sean for choosing me to eternalize your magical day. I was so inspired by your admiration for each other and humbled to be asked to take your photos.
