While we were in the Yukon in June, we really wanted to take the boys to see Skagway, Alaska, one of my ultimate favorite places to go as a child and even today.
The drive is like no other…

The summit and our reliable car that got us up the Alaska Highway back without a single problem (knock on wood)
So much beauty.

Before we went to Skagway, my Grandpa showed us his Yukon Gold (above).
Below, back to Skagway, looking out at the ocean and the huge cruise ships.

I cannot wait to go back. I love, love, love Skagway and I think my boys do too!
A few more pictures from our trip to Whitehorse in June. Above, Tyson and Jaxon were going to check out the fish that Jeff caught…..his first lake trout.
Jaxon. Such a muffin. Pardon the dirty faces…on a serious note though, I do not think their faces were clean once while we were at the cabin. :)
Such a serious look.
2 Eagles that were soaring over head while we were fishing one evening. It was very significant and special. I didn’t have my zoom lens on, but I like the way this image turned out, none the less.

We had such an amazing time at the cabin. So many cherished memories and so many more created with my boys this summer. <3
They are so gorgeous, funny and sweet. It was so great to get to know them. I worked with their Mom years ago (my goodness, more years ago than I would like to admit)

Kelly, thanks again for meeting me at the park and spending the evening with you! Hopefully I will see you in August sometime!
Cody and I went through school together and I was so excited and flattered when she asked me to take some pictures of her family. Her little girl is such an adorable munchkin. :)

I love this picture. Cody is an incredible Mother. <3
And Cody’s Mom with her first granddaughter. <3

Cody, thank you again for meeting me for portraits. It was so great seeing you again after 4 babies (3 of my own lol)!!! Can’t wait to see you again only next time we must talk about doulas!

These pictures were taken just a short walk from their backyard. After this shoot (and the W Family’s shoot) I was ACHING to move back to the Yukon!

I have so many favorites from their album, it was really difficult to choose a few to post. Here is another one I’m crazy about!
This one has to be one of my all time favorites, I LOVE it, and would absolutely LOVE to have an image like this of my children with me.
I used to work with Teri a few years ago in Whitehorse. In fact I worked with her when she was pregnant with their son…I cannot believe it has been that long. When she contacted me to book family portraits while I was home last month, I was thrilled! I was so excited to meet their children (and play hide and seek and hot ball …instead of hot potato, lol) . They are such sweet, caring and adorable children!
Are you ready for this? These pictures were all taken on the green back in their back yard! Can you believe it? I want it for my studio, it is absolutely STUNNING!

Can you believe they have two children under 10? They look amazing!!! Teri and Rob, thank you so much for having me over to take your photos! It was so great to catch up and meet your wonderful children!
While I was visiting Whitehorse I met the S family at a local park! They are so full of joy, warmth and happiness. It was such a pleasure getting to know them!

A few pictures of my boys on a hike we went on while we were in Whitehorse. This is a hill right beside my Mom’s house in Riverdale. The boys were so excited that we could go on a hike right in Grandma’s backyard. The above picture is so funny; Tyson and Carter were so excited that we made it to the top and Jax….hahahah….he just looks dumbfounded (“another picture, Mom?”), either that or Carter’s arm is really tight around his neck. LOL.
Such beauty everywhere you look in Whitehorse. These are the clay cliffs and in the distance, Grey Mountain.
My boys doing their hip hop moves…
My precious Tyson….
