When Megan contacted me and asked me to do their wedding which fell the weekend before Christmas, I was over the moon excited at her vision. As you will see, her vision came to life and I was part of one of the most gorgeous winter weddings I have ever seen.
We decided to do a pre reveal at Chadburn Lake, to maximize our daylight hours…..
Megan looked ravashing, classic, and timeless…Ian looked handsome as well in his kilt!
We were lucky enough that we got a fresh snowfall the night before; which makes for magic in the pictures.
Pretty easy to see these two are madly in love.
We met back up with the bridal party and did a few formals! I loved everything about this wedding.
After a few formals we headed to the ceremony location (Ian’s parent’s yard). How magical is this!!!? The decorations were just perfect. It was a tad chily - but they did offer hot cider to stay warm, and the promise of Christmas cookies inside by a warm fire for after the ceremony.
Her beautiful bouquet.
Even their pet bunny got included in the ceremony. So sweet.
It was slightly cold, hahah! But I loved everyone huddling together all bundled up to watch Megan and Ian proclaim their love to each other. It just felt like magic.
Inside we went for a drink and cookies and warmth!
Had to capture a shot once the sun had set.
They hosted their reception at the MacBride Museum. It was so perfect. Intimate, cozy and warm.
Megan and Ian surprised everyone and interupted their dance with a hip hop routine!
Megan and Ian, thank you for allowing to capture your most magical day. I still get warm whenever I think about it.
